Burn Fear Flow
Burn - Fear - Flow
Elemental Fabric Art - Solo Exhibition - On view September 6th - 29th 2018
It started in 2018 with a fire.
After losing her artwork due to a building fire earlier this year, internationally exhibited visual artist, Zuzanna Kozlowska, is showing, for the first time, new work that explores the tension and variance within natural flow states such as the dichotomy between calm and rapid water, fire and light. The title, Burn-Fire-Flow, describes the exhibition’s visual theme of rebuilding after loss from initial cause, to the conflagration itself to the final healing process while being true to her mastery of line work.
For this exhibition and her first solos show with Paul Calendrillo gallery, Zuzanna selected works on fabric which demonstrate her ability to capture ebb and flow while enhancing the conceptual integrity of the exhibition theme in the elegance that belies it. However, it is the emotion and sensation that each piece engenders, the feeling of internal conflict coupled with forward-looking optimism that distinguishes this remarkable body of work. This is a must-see exhibition for collectors, critics and writers concerned with the mundane conflicts life unexpectedly imposes, the positive human response and innovation in the fine art subcategory of fabric art.
The Show will remain on view September 4 - September 29 2018
